How To Get There

By Car
The quickest cross channel ferry crossing is Folkestone-Calaise via the Eurotunnel. The crossing takes approximately 35 minutes and is very quick and efficient.

Motorways in France are toll roads, and the return journey between Calais and the apartment costs approximately £60.00, depending on exchange rates.

From Calais take the A26 towards Arras, St Quentin & Reims. At Chalons sur Mame, head towards Troyes and Langres then Dijon. From Dijon head towards Macon and just before Lyon take the A46 towards Chambery. This takes you round the East side of Lyon and on to the motorway into the Alps. From Chambery head to Albertville, then Moutiers, and Bourg-Saint-Maurice.

From Calais, the journey is approximately 600 miles and takes roughly 9 - 10 hours. Watch for the radar speed traps - you have to pay cash for any on the spot fines and the French Police do not take credit cards. Remember the upper speed limit is 80mph on French motorways.

Air
There are frequent charter and scheduled flights to Lyon, Grenoble, Chambery and Geneva in the winter season Nov-Apr. The onward journey can be made by coach, hired car or train. Flights to Geneva and Lyon operate year round.

Virtual Tour
A short dvd/video is available that takes you through each room of the interior of the apartment in Bourg St Maurice, and then shows you the view from the balcony and just how far away the apartment is from the town.

The virtual tour is available upon request. Please contact Chez Tichot.
